We work directly with verified factories in China — not trading companies — for Kitchen & Tableware. For every enquiry we shortlist 2–3 audited suppliers, negotiate pricing on your behalf, request samples, and run a pre-shipment QC inspection before goods leave the port. You only pay one combined invoice in AUD.
For Shirokaratsu Ceramic Large Dish – 19cm the typical MOQ is 1 piece. Many factories will accept smaller trial orders if you commit to a follow-up PO, and we can sometimes consolidate multiple buyers into one container to bring the per-unit MOQ down.
We can quote EXW. EXW is factory pickup only. FOB covers everything up to the Chinese port. CIF adds ocean freight + insurance to the destination port. DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is door-to-door including customs clearance, duties, GST and final-mile delivery in Australia — this is what we recommend for first-time importers because there are no surprise costs.
Final quotes break down: factory unit price, customisation/tooling, packaging, inland trucking in China, ocean freight, marine insurance, Australian customs duty + GST, port charges, and final-mile delivery. Use our shipping calculator and customs duty calculator to estimate landed cost before you commit.
Yes. We strongly recommend ordering 1–3 samples first to verify quality, finish and dimensions. Sample cost is usually credited back against your first bulk order. Air freight to Australia takes 5–8 business days; we handle customs for samples too.
Production lead time for Shirokaratsu Ceramic Large Dish – 19cm is 2–4 weeks. Add 25–35 days for sea freight to Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane (or 5–8 days for air freight). Total door-to-door timeline is usually 6–10 weeks for sea, 4–6 weeks for air. Use our transit time calculator for a more precise estimate.
Every order includes (1) pre-production sample approval, (2) in-line inspection during manufacturing for orders over $20k, and (3) a mandatory pre-shipment inspection (PSI) using AQL 2.5 sampling. You receive a photo + video QC report before we authorise the supplier to ship. If the order fails inspection, the supplier reworks at their cost.
Standard terms are 30% deposit on PO, 70% balance after QC pass and before bill of lading is released. For repeat customers we offer 30/40/30 (deposit / production milestone / on delivery). We invoice in AUD and accept bank transfer (PayID, BSB+Account) and credit card (1.8% surcharge). All supplier payments are routed through Spotyard so you never wire money to China.
Sea (FCL/LCL) is 5–10× cheaper per kg but takes 25–35 days. Use it for stock orders or anything over 1 CBM. Air freight is fast (5–8 days) but expensive — use it for samples, urgent restocks, or shipments under 100kg. Read our FCL vs LCL guide to choose the right container option.
For Kitchen & Tableware, expect 0–5% import duty (most categories under ChAFTA are duty-free with a Certificate of Origin) plus 10% GST on the CIF value + duty + freight. Spotyard arranges the full clearance through a licensed third-party customs broker who lodges the import declaration, and provides a tax invoice you can claim GST back on through your BAS. Spotyard itself does not hold a customs broker licence.
All orders are covered by a 12-month workmanship warranty. Damage in transit is covered by marine insurance (included in CIF/DDP quotes). If you receive a defective batch, send us photos within 14 days — we negotiate replacement, credit, or refund directly with the factory on your behalf at no extra fee.
Yes — most factories offer OEM/ODM customisation including custom colours, fabrics, dimensions, branded labels, retail packaging, barcodes, and assembly instructions. Tooling fees (if any) are a one-off and quoted upfront. Send us your specs or a reference image and we'll come back with options.
